Installation Instructions

 

With a Flo Tech Turbo System installed, your engine will burn fuel more efficiently. This improved combustion results in more horsepower and cleaner emissions.  Flo Techs turbo will fit on all passenger cars, SUVs’, trucks, or recreation vehicles.  It is an inexpensive device that connects to the intake of gas-powered engines. Attaching the turbo before the air filter, in the intake, produces more airflow for your carburetor. In turn a better gas to air mixture enhances your engines performance. Any machine can get a performance boost with the ram air efficiently you need. Flo Techs intake blower is compact and easily installed. It also provides higher airflow, lower amp draw, and quieter operation than standard blowers.

REQUIRED FOR INSTALLATION

  • Drill and suitable drill bit.
  • Screwdriver.
  • Wire cutter/stripper.
  • Duct tape.
  • Cable tie wraps
  • Fuse:  4 amp for 3” (75mm) blower

                      7 amp for 4” (100mm) blower.

  • In-line fuse holder suitable for above fuse
  • 16 gauge wire (yellow and black)
  • 12 Volt test light
  • Electric tape, silicone for a sealed fit.   

 

 

WARNING:

Read and understand instructions thoroughly before proceeding with installation. Improper installation may result in loss of adequate ventilation in engine compartment.

·         To prevent personal injury, always disconnect one of the main battery leads when installing or servicing this product.

·         Make sure the power source matches the voltage rating printed on the top of the product.

·         Always use a fuse with amperage rating specified for the blower model. Failure to do so may result in serious personal injury or fire hazards.

 

INSTALLATION

To prevent personal injury, disconnect one of the main battery leads before installing the blower.  

 The Flo Tech Turbo is designed for easy installation.  It must be positioned where the air enters the air filter in the intake of your engine to provide maximum efficiency.     

 

MOUNTING INSTRUCTIONS

  1. Locate air filter box, open and remove air filter.
  2. Note inlet side, were the air comes in to air box, place Flo Tech blower here, arrow pointing inward, to push air to the air filter.
  3. Trim opening for a sealed fit of your Flo Tech in line blower. Minor modification to the air inlet side of box may be necessary to insure a sealed fit.
  4. Replace air filter with a new Fram filter.

 

Your Flo Tech turbo system must be installed before the air filter intake to work efficiently

 

WIRING INSTRUCTIONS

  1. Using a quality grade stranded copper wire, wire blower as shown in following example. Measure from power source to blower and back to ground. Use 16-gauge wire.
  2. Splice a suitable fuse holder into the conductor from the positive (+) battery terminal. Choose an easily accessible location close to the battery.
  3. Be sure that the blower operates when the ignition switch is on and stops running when the ignition is turned off.
  4. Use test light to find reliable 12-volt source. Ground the negative wire to the firewall ground lug.
